What I teach:

First and foremost I teach cello, piano, and composition students classical technique through traditional literature. I integrate music theory into all lessons. For those that are interested, I also teach other playing styles in non-classical genres, including jazz, folk, rock, world, etc. through the use of improvisation. I also teach how to integrate electronics into live performance, how to make your own album using recording software, and how to create a good-looking score using notation software.

I teach students of all ages and abilities. The most important thing is that the student must have the ability to listen, follow through with assignments, and set aside time to practice or compose throughout the week. Please read my studio policies here.

$90 for 90 minutes, $75/hr, or $60 for 45 minutes (for ages 14 and under)

I can travel to your home for an additional charge, depending on the distance.
